Flagship consulting engagement

Software architecture assessment

For engineering directors and lead architects who need an external, evidence-based picture of how the system is actually structured—not how the wiki describes it.

Who this is for

Product companies with one primary codebase between roughly 80k and 800k lines, multiple squads touching shared modules, and a near-term decision: split a monolith, extract a service, freeze a domain for compliance, or onboard a larger contractor team without losing coherence.

Outcome

You receive a written assessment (typically 25–40 pages) plus a 90-minute readout with Q&A. The document names current boundaries, where they leak, three viable target states, and a sequenced change list with effort bands—not hour estimates for us to implement, but guidance your teams can schedule.

What we include

What we exclude

Provider & process

A single lead consultant from Core Summit runs the engagement, with a second reviewer for quality on findings. Week one focuses on access setup, interviews, and static analysis. Week two synthesises options and drafts the report. You review a near-final draft before the readout.

Timeline & location

Ten business days from kickoff, assuming repository access within 48 hours. Remote by default; on-site days in Walmer or your Gqeberha office can be added. Kickoff prefers SAST-friendly hours.

Preparation

Grant read access to the main repo, CI history if available, and a short list of production incidents from the last six months. Sign our mutual NDA template or yours if already standard for vendors.

Pricing basis

From ZAR 185 000 for a single primary application and up to four bounded subsystems. Additional roots or polyrepo setups are quoted after the scope call. A 40% deposit confirms dates; balance due on delivery of the final PDF.

Next step

Book a 45-minute scope call. We will confirm fit, access needs, and a fixed quote for your codebase shape.
