  1. Scope call

    45 minutes with an engineering sponsor. We confirm codebase shape, sensitive areas, decision deadline, and whether a full assessment or a narrower boundary review fits. You receive a written quote within two business days.

  2. Access & kickoff

    NDA signed, read-only repo access, incident list shared. Kickoff call introduces the consultant to your leads and agrees on interview slots for week one.

  3. Discovery week

    Static analysis runs, targeted file reads, and recorded interviews. Mid-week we share a one-page “emerging themes” note so you can flag anything politically sensitive before we draft conclusions.

  4. Synthesis week

    Boundary options drafted, risks ranked, diagrams cleaned. You get a draft executive summary 48 hours before the readout.

  5. Readout & handover

    90-minute session with your leadership group. Final PDF delivered same day. Email clarifications for fourteen calendar days on wording—not implementation coaching.
